TRAININGS & CONSULTATION
When a death or diagnosis occurs, it can be overwhelming to know where to start. The Dougy Center is available to consult on how to best support students, staff, families, and yourself. We provide a variety of trainings and community responses to support school communities after a death or when someone is diagnosed with an advanced serious illness. We can work with you to customize a training or community response that meets your community's unique needs.

Consultation
We are available to consult with your school or organization on how to best support your community, both in the immediate response and over the long-term. Receive individualized attention and get your most pressing questions answered in-person or over the phone. We will help you to assess current and future needs and create a plan to address those needs.
Community Response
Knowing peer support can decrease isolation and confusion for those in grief, many schools and organizations provide one-time meetings or short-term groups for students, teachers, and family members to learn about grief and process reactions to a diagnosis or death. We will work with you to create and facilitate a meaningful response for those affected by the loss.
